In the fall of 2003 Lovio George asked us to help build a web site for their client Gunn Levine architects who would be celebrating their 30 th anniversary at the start of February 2004.
From the start it was clear that they didn't want a typical website. They were looking for something fresh and different and without a typical visual structure. We found it a fascinating challenge and worked hand-in-hand with the agency's creative director to come up with a concept that would fit the bill. After many different and varied designs we arrived at the concept. Which is visually arresting, colorful, and playfully animated as well as being functional, although in an interesting way?
The site was to be built in flash and be data driven so that the client could easily add and update the content themselves. We used ASP and XML to tie into a custom-designed database and content management system that would run on their existing in-house web server running Windows NT.
In the end the client was delighted with the results and have received a lot of positive comments from clients old and new.
